Over the years, he developed exceptional relations with the Commission, and even linked numerous friendships with some of its members.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”200871″]It is in that capacity that he decided to entrust the Commission with a capital, by proposing the attribution of a biennial award.
\nIn its session of 26 June 2004, the Commission accepted this proposal with gratitude.   1. The Bryce & Mary Lyon Award will be attributed every two years. It will be awarded for the first time in December 2005.<\/li>\n
  2. The award must be considered as a kind of encouragement to pursue the scientific texts publication tradition. It will hence be awarded to the youngest author, aged forty at most, whose works were published in the two previous years in either the Bulletin or another of the Commission’s collections.<\/li>\n
  3. The prize money amounts to 500\u20ac.<\/li>\n
  4. Award-winners are not allowed to participate more than once for this particular prize.<\/li>\n
  5. The Commission reserves the right of interpretation of the present regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
